Academic report by Professor Wenping Yuan:"Research Status and Development of Ecosystem Models."

应地理科学学院陈旻教授邀请，中山大学袁文平教授来我院进行学术交流，于2017年6月23日在地科院511会议室作题为“生态系统模式的研究现状与发展”的学术报告。此次报告会由陈旻教授主持，温永宁副教授及学院相关领域的教师和研究生参加了本次学术报告会。

整场报告中，袁文平教授生动的讲解、严谨的科研思路、独特的科研视角吸引了在场与会人员的关注，多次赢得热烈的掌声。最后，在陈旻教授的主持下，与会师生与袁文平教授开展了积极的讨论与交流，与会师生获益匪浅。本次学术交流活动在热烈的掌声中顺利结束。

Professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Atmospheric Science at Sun Yat-Sen University. His primary research interests lie in terrestrial ecosystem models based on processes-based analyses at multiple sites and ecosystem types. During the past 5 years, he has published 59 papers in the areas of climate change and ecology, and as a leading author or corresponding author, he publishes 33 papers in prestigious journals including Nature Climate Change (IF=14.547), Nature Communications (IF=11.470) and Remote Sensing of Environment (IF=6.393), with total 823 citations according to the Web of Science for all SCI (Science Citation Index) journal papers he published. Dr. Yuan has also been awarded National Outstanding Youth Fund, and supported by National Youth Top-notch Talent Support Program (The Organization Department of the Central Committee of the CPC) and New Century Excellent Talents (Ministry of Education). Meanwhile Dr. Yuan has been serving as Academic Editors of Plos One and leading author of “National Assessment Report on Climate Change”.
